AI Usage Policy

Last updated: 24 July 2026

ReadOrion uses artificial intelligence to create its book summaries and audio narration. This policy explains how AI is used, what AI is not, and your responsibilities when using AI-generated content. It supplements our Terms & Conditions.

1How AI is used at ReadOrion

  • Text summaries are AI-generated. We use AI models to read source material and produce a condensed, chapter-by-chapter summary highlighting key ideas.
  • Audio narration is AI-generated. Summaries are narrated by AI text-to-speech voices, not human voice actors.
  • AI is used to help select and personalize recommendations and to organize the catalog.

Unlike some book-summary services that use human writers and actors, ReadOrion's summaries and voices are machine-generated. We believe this lets us cover more books and languages affordably, but it also means content can contain inaccuracies, simplifications, or omissions.

2What AI-generated content is not

  • Not the original work. A summary is a brief interpretation, not the source book. For the complete and authoritative text, buy and read the original.
  • Not professional advice. ReadOrion does not provide medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Summaries of books on such topics are general information only.
  • Not guaranteed accurate or current. AI output may reflect errors, bias, or outdated information. Verify critical information independently and against the original source.

3Transparency

We label summaries and audio as AI-generated in our footer and on relevant pages. If you notice an inaccurate, harmful, or misleading summary, please tell us so we can review and correct it.

4Your responsibilities

  • Treat summaries as a starting point for discovery, not as a definitive account or as advice.
  • Do not rely on AI-generated content for medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions; consult qualified professionals.
  • Do not redistribute, republish, or pass off AI-generated summaries as your own work.
  • Respect the rights of the original authors and publishers; purchase the original books through the links we provide.

5Author & rights-holder relations

Source books belong to their authors and publishers. Our author program lets rights holders submit books for summarization and add buy-links to their retailer listings; future plans include direct on-platform sales. If you are a rights holder and believe a summary should be amended or removed, contact us.

6Data & AI

We process the input needed to generate summaries and audio as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your personal account data to train AI models, and we do not ask you to share sensitive personal data with any AI feature.

7Changes to this policy

As AI technology and regulation evolve, we may update this policy. We will reflect changes in the “Last updated” date and give reasonable notice of material changes.
